The Chamber is delighted to announce our first in-person event of 2021. The Women in Business Networking Lunch will feature presentations by Northbrook Village Trustee Heather Ross and newly-elected Trustee Joy Ebhomielen. Each will share their professional journey and the goals for their public service.
Joy Ebhomielen was elected to the Village Board in the April 2021 election, in which she was endorsed by the Northbrook Caucus. Professionally, she just completed a long term contract as a Senior Financial Consultant for OptumRX in Schaumburg. She holds an MBA in finance and has also worked as a commercial lender with Fifth Third Bank and Chase. Joy also has been involved in various community organizations since moving to Northbrook 16 years ago. She served four years on the Community Relations Commission and is now a Director for Hunger Resource Network.
Elected to the Village Board in 2019, Heather Ross has taken an active role in Board decisions regarding affordable housing, sustainability, and local development. She combines an entrepreneurial perspective, as a founder of the law firm Ross & Zuckerman, LLP, with an interest in social causes and advocacy. Her previous professional experience includes providing legal services to low-income clients through the Legal Assistance Foundation of Metropolitan Chicago, chairing the the American Society for Reproductive Medicine’s Legal Professional Group, and representing business clients in commercial litigation.
