BACKSTORY: The Evans Scholars Foundation awards full tuition and housing college scholarships to hardworking golf caddies with limited financial means. Founded by famed amateur golfer Charles “Chick” Evans Jr. in partnership with the Western Golf Association, over 12,000 young men and women have been named Evans Scholars since 1930, including 1,130 in 2023-24 attending 24 leading universities.

The Evans Scholars Program also provides academic, professional, and social resources that help students maintain a cumulative 3.3 GPA and 98 percent graduation rate. Primary funding for the program comes from WGA Championship events, including Northbrook Chamber member the NV5 Invitational presented by Old National Bank, as well as individual donations.

The Northbrook Chamber is proud to support the Evans Scholars Foundation in its life-changing efforts on behalf of deserving students.
